MG teases out the real killer paid feature for Tumblr here: Or maybe something like: pay $1 to highlight a post to your followers, pay $10 to highlight to all of Tumblr.

Now ~that~ actually makes a lot of sense. The flip side, however, is that you wind up with jokes on jokes on jokes, which I personally think are hilarious and the one of the best parts about Tumblr’s culture and community, but a big brand might not find it so amusing to see its content sandwiched between Cole’s cute Dick Butt drawing and Bobby’s screencap.
